This Audit Manager position will be an integral team member of the Enterprise Risk, Capital, and Liquidity audit team that provides enterprise audit coverage of investment, market, and model risks, as well as capital adequacy and liquidity management. Primary audit areas are Enterprise Risk Management, Chief Investment Office, Treasurers, and Corporate Social Responsibility organizations. The Internal Audit Department serves to protect the Company by improving the management of risks and the effectiveness of the control environment at the business, function and enterprise levels through valued independent assessments and advice on governance, risk and control. As an Audit Manager, you will participate in and supervise all aspects of the audit process, from planning to reporting, and conducting continuous monitoring activities for assigned functions. You are expected to engage in ongoing dialogue with management and various control partners to identify and assess risks and controls. Your primary auditees include Enterprise Risk Management, Treasurers and the Chief Investment Office. About You You have a strong analytical mindset with the ability to conduct risk assessments and evaluate controls. You are intellectually curious and have a desire to grow your business/technical acumen to remain current on business developments, industry trends, emerging risks, and changes to the financial and regulatory environments. You have some experience with data analytics and seek to build upon your knowledge of approaches and tools. One of your core strengths is your professional presence and ability to build business relationships. You enjoy working independently and are productive in a collaborative team environment. Qualifications
Theoretical and professional knowledge of market and interest rate risk, asset liability management, and stress testing in the financial services industry. Prior experience in performing job functions in areas including investment management, portfolio management, interest rate risk management, risk modeling, and stress testing (CCAR, Basel) in the financial services industry. Prior audit experience and an understanding of the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) governance framework, risk assessment, control analysis and audit methodologies is a plus. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. Knowledge of the financial services regulatory landscape and experience is a plus. Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA or advanced degree, FRM, CFA, CIA or related certifications are a plus. This position is based in Newark, New Jersey but may require travel not expected to exceed 5%, but may vary depending on the audit plan.
