Performs a variety of duties such as history and physicals as well as providing care to assigned patients. Assesses, diagnoses, documents findings, and writes medical orders. Makes clinical decisions relative to patient management through collaboration with physicians.
EDUCATION: Graduation from a Physician Assistant Program accredited by ARC-PA (Accreditation Review Commission on the Education of Physician Assistants). Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred..
EXPERIENCE: One to two (1-2) years of experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
LICENSE/CERT/REG: NCCPA (National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants) certification (pending or current). Pending or current licensure with the Maryland Board of Physicians. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred.
SKILLS: Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred.
