A positive catalyst for leading change with a professional demeanor, the Vulnerability Management team manager drives the group’s strategies and goals through coaching, mentoring and career guidance, and develops and maintains strong partnerships with other teams, spurring end-to-end vulnerability remediation. Direct ongoing assessments and penetration tests, assist with strategic planning, support compliance and risk management activities, and push for improvements as necessary to mitigate risk. The manager serves as a technical expert on USC information security policies and standards, communicating across the organization and representing their team with customers and partners.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree; Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Experience: 5 years
Minimum Field of Expertise: Extensive experience in information security management, with at least two years leading a vulnerability management program. Strong understanding of vulnerability management and security testing practices and methodologies. Strong understanding of cloud computing and security issues related to cloud environments. Strong understanding of common vulnerability frameworks (CVSS, OWASP Top 10). Strong understanding of Internet security and networking protocols. Understanding of system, application, and database hardening techniques and practices. Ability to evaluate business risks and recommend appropriate information security measures. Ability to interact effectively at all levels of an organization and across diverse cultural and linguistic barriers. Ability to quickly adapt as the external environment and organization evolves.
