Tanager Place has an opening for a full-time Billing Specialist position. This role is responsible for preparing and submitting invoices to Medicaid (Managed Care Organizations), insurance companies and other payers. This role requires a high standard or work and problem solving skills to resolve delinquent accounts and initiating appeals on denied claims. Additional responsibilities include preparing monthly reports, recording payments.
Must be accurate, possess good attention to detail and treat all records, reports, etc., confidentially. Must have knowledge of billing to Medicaid (Managed Care Organizations), excellent computer skills in Microsoft Excel. Must be able to meet deadlines and take initiative. High school diploma or equivalent with two years working in healthcare billing setting.
Act as a positive emissary of Tanager Place and promote a positive image of Tanager Place at all times. Have an understanding and demonstrate consumer service concepts and initiatives.
General office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
