We are a busy general ophthalmology clinic looking for an experienced ophthalmic assistant (COA, COT) to join our team.
The candidate will be responsible for performing manual and automated tests under the physicians' supervision including lensometry, refractometry and tonometry. In addition, the assistant will perform diagnostic testing and assist the physician with lasers and minor surgeries.
Essential skills the candidate must possess: Exceptional communication and patient care skills, knowledge of medical/ophthalmology terminology, excellent history taking capability with knowledge of ophthalmology disease processes, motivated and willing to learn new skills, ability to use electronic health record. Full time position.
